Archetype is the title of a low-budget feature film that will be produced and shot in South Wales. The story of Archetype is grounded in the Christian tradition, leaning on the various themes and imagery that characterise the faith – including forgiveness, sacrifice and hope. Whilst not a ‘Christian Film’ as such, this would not be a wholly inaccurate label for the production.

Taking cues from superhero, sci-fi and fantasy films, Archetype will seek to remain grounded in reality while offering a new take on these genres – all underpinned by Christian values.
In order to finance the project, we will be looking at crowdfunding and grants as well as other options. We aim to distribute the completed film via online streaming, DVD and Blu-Ray sales.
Currently Archetype is in the very early stages of pre-production. We have a core script which is being developed and once that has reached its second draft, the next step will be to build a small team of producers who will be able to take the project forward.
